The Caplan and Earnest Law Firm’s office lease was up for renewal and the group wanted to map out all available options. Unsure of how much space was needed when touring new offices, Caplan and Earnest asked Trestle to analyze their current and projected needs.

Approach

Trestle recently completed a space needs assessment of the Caplan and Earnest Law Firm in Boulder. With their current office lease soon to expire, Caplan asked Trestle to review the emerging trends in modern law office design and identify the opportunities to increase productivity and maintain a competitive advantage while also identifying their space needs for the next 5 to 10 years. Trestle conducted extensive research on law firm office industry standards to understand common themes and emerging trends, met with department leads to understand team dynamics and projections, and conducted a company survey to fully understand organization culture, operations, and desires.

Result

Trestle's detailed report identified the firm’s future space needs and the emerging trends that should be incorporated into a new office space. This report helped Caplan and Earnest’s commercial brokers to understand their needs and identifying potential office spaces worth touring.
