Challenge
The City’s Department of Community Vitality had grown in numbers with no space to accommodate their operational needs. Currently located in downtown Boulder, the Department combines the functions of City's Economic Vitality program with the Downtown University Hill Management Division and Parking Services/Boulder Junction. Understanding their growth trends and operational requirements was needed to identify future office space scenarios.
Approach
Trestle analyzed the existing conditions and future space needs of the City of Boulder's Department of Community Vitality. Interviews and space trends research was conducted to understand team dynamics and compare space sizes, layout, and efficiencies to industry standards in order to provide a detailed analytical and spacial recommendation to meet future and operational needs.
Result
Towards the end of the study, the adjacent office space became available and the department was able to expand into the space while improving their operations.
