Challenge

The Geological Society of America (GSA) has evolved since it moved to Boulder in the early 1970s. Operating in the modern era, GSA has been able to streamline operations and reduce its spacial needs. The 28,000 SF facility GSA operates in is beautiful and was specifically design for the non-profit; however, vacant offices and continual facility upkeep generates questions for the future.

Approach

Trestle helped the Geological Society of America(GSA) assess their opportunities for their 4.35 acre property in northern Boulder. Trestle analyzed the organization’s space needs and conducted a property review, commercial market analysis, redevelopment scenario analysis, and financial analysis study to review real estate opportunities and identify the most appropriate path forward according to the organization’s operational and financial goals.
