Challenge

The Mackintosh Academy in Boulder County has been experiencing demand growth for new student enrollment; however, existing facility conditions and previous land use approvals limit the school from expanding their facilities and increasing their student body. Understanding the existing land use conditions and navigating the Boulder County approval process is required for the school to meet their growing needs and aspirations.

Approach

Trestle is providing strategic real estate development services for the Mackintosh Academy with the goal to expand the educational facility for the academy's growing enrollment. Located in Boulder County with unique conservation easement land designations, Trestle has been exploring expansion opportunities to create a more community-oriented campus. While building a story that outlines the history and future campus plan objectives, Trestle is providing property analysis, entitlement guidance, strategic planning, and political advisory services. 

Result

The proposed project is currently under review by Boulder County’s Planning Department.
