Developer Selection Process

February 11, 2025 | SO-IL + Coburn Selected as the Architectural Design Team for the North Boulder Creative Campus Project

BMoCA and its partner, Emerald Development, are thrilled to announce the selection of SO-IL, in collaboration with Boulder-based Coburn, as the architectural design team for the North Boulder Creative Campus project.

SO-IL, an internationally recognized firm with offices in New York and Amsterdam, has shown a dedication to creating exceptional civic spaces and looks forward to collaborating with its local partner, Coburn

October 22, 2024 | Three Teams Invited to Present in November

The following three teams have been invited to present their vision for the North Boulder Creative Campus to the community in November:

These events are free and open to the public, but please register for tickets. 

Following those presentations at BMoCA, and meetings with BMoCA, Emerald Development, and other stakeholders, one team will be selected to move forward with the NoBo Creative Campus project.

August 9, 2024 | Shortlist Announcement

Thank you for your continued interest in the North Boulder Creative Campus. We are grateful to our project team, selection committee, and community for facilitating the incredible response to our RFQ. We thank all the design teams that applied for their diligence in presenting their qualifications.

We are excited to announce the following architectural teams to participate in the Request for Proposals (RFP) phase of the project: 

  • Fernanda Canales x Tres Birds

  • Johnston Marklee + Independent Architecture + BVH Architecture

  • Sasaki + Patkau Architects

  • SO-IL+ Coburn + Dig Studio

  • Tatiana Bilbao ESTUDIO + High, Low, Buffalo.

Each of these Design Teams demonstrate a commitment to creating exceptional civic spaces and an established involvement within our local community. 

We will be in touch with the selected teams in the coming days to discuss next steps.
